about

Recorded live in 2019, this live composition was mixed by the renowned Marc Urselli as an international donation made during quarantine.

In 2019, an intimate live session took place in the Bioma Musical studio, in Belo Horizonte - Brazil, gathering nine female musicians who performed and recorded live for a small audience.

"Nova Diretriz" is one of the tracks resulting from this edition of the project. The single was composed by six women - Bruna Vilela (guitar), Camila Rocha (bass), Lúcia Vulcano (guitar), Luisa Mitre (keyboard), Natália Mitre (drums), Paige (voice) - and the conductor Guilherme Peluci.

Walking through the aesthetics of funk and soul in its organic narratives of musical composition design - without leaving aside a pop drapery -, the single has its mix signed by Marc Urselli.

The track title symbolically illustrates the encounter of the musicians, who jointly built the song paths based on the only plan of expressing the potentialities of the female subjective and the experiences of female musicians when going up on stage. The verses "Once upon a time, I sang for you / A new guideline" are sung assertively and naturally by the great Brazilian singer Paige in one of the dynamic variations of the song - corroborating this whole idea.

Conceived and conducted by Guilherme Peluci, the Ad Hoc Orquestra is a project based on collective improvisation techniques, used to create music in real time and promote the encounter between various artists.

Within this premise, Ad Hoc has already brought together more than 500 musicians from different countries in sessions of research, discovery and creation of spontaneous music. During the sessions, almost nothing is predetermined, valuing the creation of the moment and the encounter.
